We wanted catfish for lunch as we were transversing Mississippi and found Red Top on Maps. We were not disappointed. The catfish platter had five(!) filets. I’ve eaten a lot of catfish and this is among the best I’ve had. The fries and hush puppies are top-notch too. The coleslaw, well, frankly they need to toss their recipe and start over from scratch. I’m not generally a fan of popcorn shrimp, but this one was very good. Service was friendly, atmosphere was nice, and the restrooms were clean.

These were some of the best fries I’ve ever had especially in a small town! This was my second time visiting, and I had no idea there were so many great restaurant options. This spot was awesome, and our server was so kind and sweet. A great find!

Pleasantly surprised with the food. We were traveling from New Orleans (known for the best flavorful food) and we would visit here again if in town.

A group of four of us went for lunch. I had a shrimp boil that came with cold slaw, hush puppies, boudin balls, potatoes, and corn on the cobb. In addition, I ordered more boudin balls and fried okra to share with the group. My wife ordered a Red Top grilled chicken sandwich. The other couple split a shrimp boil. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and peeling wasn't difficult. The young women servers were all very friendly and helpful. You place your order as you enter, and your food is brought to you. The dining area isn't fancy but is well kept and clean.

Wife and I stopped here on the way home and were surprised at the quality of food and service. The place looks like an old Burger along from the outside and is behind another place near what looked like a derelict shopping mall. I ordered a hamburger and was surprised at the size of the thing at first glance and overjoyed at the flavor. The wife was very happy with her fish and shrimp. The portion was large enough she brought some home for lunch. We were happy with the food and the service on our visit. Will be back again in the future.

It was my 1st time at this place. They were so busy. It was between 3 and 5 pm. I expected the menu to have more variety. It was very cold where I was sitting. The food portion was really good for the price. The parking lot is big.
